Technical Video Analysis
For Swimmers

For swimmers and coaches who want clear, specific technical feedback and a simple plan to get faster.

Are your swimmers having difficulty improving their skills because you’re not sure exactly what they need to work on?

Looking for clarity about which skills to prioritize, and what to actually do in practice to fix them?

It’s almost impossible to make progress toward a goal if you don’t know exactly where you’re trying to go.

That’s especially true when developing skills in swimming. If you’re not solving the right technical problem at the right time, it’s very hard to move the needle.

But when you know what’s going wrong and what to do to fix it, creating change gets a lot easier.

And that means faster swimming.

Why Work With Me on Technical Analysis

I’ve watched thousands of frame‑by‑frame videos of swimmers, from Olympic champions breaking world records to 10‑year‑olds with strokes that flirt with disqualification.

Coupled with an extensive study of the principles that drive fast swimming, I’ve learned to see those principles in action.

  • I can see what actually causes many of the stroke flaws that emerge in less skilled swimmers.

  • When you understand the principles that determine fast swimming, the root causes become clear.

  • Once you see why your swimmer is moving the way they are, it’s hard to unsee it.

With understanding comes effective action.

What You Get

If you decide you want to know exactly what this swimmer needs to improve and why it’s happening, here’s what you’ll get:

1. Full stroke analysis

  • Body position and alignment

  • Propulsion from the arms and legs

  • Timing between all the components (stroke, kick, breathing, underwaters)

  •

2. Principle‑based diagnosis

  • The principles behind why they’re moving in certain ways

  • Help separating cause and effect so you know where to focus, instead of chasing symptoms

  • A clear understanding of where they’re creating propulsion and where they’re creating resistance

3. Actionable guidance

  • Specific focal points and changes to aim for

  • Suggestions for how to start integrating those changes into training

To help you actually solve the problems we identify, you’ll also get:

These resources give you more tools to follow through on the analysis.

Taken together, this adds up to a comprehensive understanding of where your swimmer is leaving speed on the table and how to take advantage of those opportunities.

What You’ll Need

1. Video footage

I’ll need to be able to see your swimmer from the following angles:

  • Overwater footage filmed from the side

  • Overwater footage filmed from the front

That’s it.

If you have underwater footage from the same angles, that’s even better, but it’s not required.

2. Clear goals

I need to know what you’re hoping to get feedback on.

  • The more specific your questions and problems, the better I’ll be able to help.

  • If there are particular skills or race situations that are causing problems, tell me.

The clearer you are, the more focused and useful the analysis will be.

For example:

  • Ineffective underwater kicking

  • Poor propulsion in freestyle

  • Inconsistent breaststroke timing at different speeds

How It Works

By purchasing a complete technical analysis, you’ll receive:

  • An initial email from me to make sure I have a clear understanding of what you want to improve.

  • A voice‑over video of your swimmer, highlighting the key areas where they can improve their skills.

  • A written summary of the same opportunities in a concise format, with simple and direct steps to take.

  • Two follow‑up email exchanges to clarify any aspects of the review and the proposed solutions.

Turnaround time is typically within 7 days of receiving your footage and information.

Pricing and Options

The cost of this service for one athlete is $199.

If you have multiple athletes you want analyzed:

The cost for 8 athletes is $999.

This represents a significantly reduced cost per athlete.

As an additional bonus for the group package, I’ll also send you a copy of my book A Constraints‑Led Approach To Swim Coaching.

This works well for clubs that want to create a baseline for a group at the same time.

If you’re not sure which option makes sense, you can always contact me first.
