This is a Ph.D. level course in stroke mechanics, skill development, workout writing, and swimmer engagement.  Andrew is a fantastic teacher who has put a lot of thought into nearly every aspect of elite swimming.  This is the perfect course to help the average swim coach develop into an expert in what it takes to become an elite swimmer.

-Kevin B.

Working with Andrew has been great! He breaks down complicated concepts into simple principles that I can easily understand and explain to my athletes, and the way he covers propulsion across all strokes and underwater kicking gave me a clear system for teaching these skills, setting up practices, and continually challenging my swimmers. It's really helped me see how to track their progress and keep pushing them in a way that makes these skills translate into their swimming.

Here's what coaches are saying about the Set Design Coaching Intensive...

I highly recommend Andrew’s course. I learned creative strategies on how to design swimming sets that help swimmers maintain and improve their technique even while training. Andrew has given me an alternative approach to the constant challenge of teaching competitive swimming skills, correcting stroke mechanics, and providing interesting workouts for my swimmers.

-Steve H.

Taking this course with Andrew opened up my imagination to new possibilities for helping my swimmers achieve their goals in a constructive manner that challenges not only them but myself. I highly recommend taking this crash course. I'm not one that is easily impressed, but this course taught me more in a week than I've learned over the last several years.

-Naji A.

The course was extremely informative. The way to look at swimming both in terms of technique, progression and performance has changed for me dramatically. With the tools provided and with the discussion in each session, I have become more confident in my ability as a coach. This includes both an understanding of what it takes to make structured training programs and what to reflect on as a coach on deck.

-Frederik K.

Sessions with Andrew are insightful, he has obviously spent hundreds of hours preparing to help coaches. He simplifies advanced topics and streamlines the practice & season planning process. His concepts could be applied from anywhere from age group swimmers to elite athletes to masters swimmers.

-Matt W.

The course has given me better tools and understanding for working with swimmers, on creating better propulsion. The tools are simple and can easily fit into sets without taking too much time or having to reorganize every set.

-Anna K.

Every session was awesome.  It helped me as a coach to improve my understanding of what to do and how to do it. I got much better at creating sets designed to help swimmers improve the skills they need to develop, and I got a much better perspective on ways to progress those skills over time.  Just as importantly, I became a lot more confident in what I was doing.
