Technical Analysis

Are your swimmers having difficulty improving their skills because you’re not sure EXACTLY what they need to work on?

Looking for clarity about what skills your swimmers need to improve, and exactly how to make it happen?

It’s pretty much impossible to make progress toward a goal if you don’t know exactly where you’re trying to go.

That’s true in every area of life and it’s certainly true when developing skills in swimming.

If you’re not solving the right technical problem at the right time, it can be very challenging.

But if you know EXACTLY what's going wrong and EXACTLY what to do to fix the problem, creating change is a whole lot easier.

And that means faster swimming.

Let me help you out.

I’ve watched 1,000s(!) of frame-by-frame video of swimmers, from Olympic Champions breaking world records to 10-year old kids performing strokes that flirt with disqualification.

I’ve seen it all.

Coupled with an extensive study of the principles that drive fast swimming, I’ve learned to SEE these principles in action, and what actually causes many of the stroke flaws that emerge in less skilled swimmers.

When there is a clear understanding of the principles that determine fast swimming, these root causes become simple and easy to pick up on.

Fortunately, these principles are easy to grasp, and once you see why your swimmers are moving the way you are, it’s impossible to UNsee it.

With understanding comes EFFECTIVE action.

If you decide you want to know exactly what your swimmers need to improve and why it’s happening, here’s what you’ll get-

  • A full analysis of the major components of their swimming including body position and alignment, propulsion from the arms and the legs, and timing between the different components.

  • The PRINCIPLES behind why they’e moving in certain ways.  I’ll help you separate cause and effect so that you know where to focus your attention, rather than getting distracted by symptoms.

  • An understanding of how all your swimmers are creating propulsion, where they’re creating resistance, and the timing of their stroke.

As a bonus, to help ensure that you have to the tools to solve these problems, I’ll include:

All of this adds up to a comprehensive understanding of where your swimmers are leaving speed on the table, and how to take advantage of these opportunities.

What You’ll Need

1. Video Footage

I’ll need to be able to see your swimmmers from the following angles.

  • Overwater footage filmed from the side

  • Overwater footage filmed from the front

That's it!

If you have underwater footage from the same angles, that's definitely better, but it's not completely necessary.

2.  Clear Goals

I need to know what you’re hoping to get feedback on.

The more specific your questions and problems, the better I’ll be able to serve you.

If you’re having specific issues with specific skills, I’ll be better able to assist you with those issues the more I am aware of them.
